Nuts, Bolts, and Screws
I love to organize things. Am I a clean freak? Not necessarily. I just have a THING about keep organized. To me, CLEAN means no germs, spotless floors, bed made every morning…blah, blah. Let’s just say I’m a firm advocate of the “5 second rule.”
Organization on the other hand, gives me a sense of calm. I always feel good following my organizational “spells.” It provides me with a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction. Give me an hour and I’ll organize your junk drawer. I must admit however, that junk drawers are in a class by themselves and should be left alone.
Recently on a weekend, I began organizing my garage. I made tremendous progress spending hours re-organizing shelves, breaking down cardboard, and finding places on the floor that I didn’t know existed. It took me several hours to claim success, but I finally got to a point where everything was organized. As I went along, I continuously kept tossing all of the nuts, bolts, and screws that I can across into a plastic tub. As I looked at this tub of small hardware bits, It struck me that I had absolutely had no desire to sit and sort these into categories. Sometime you just gotta say NO! I have better things to do. Like taking photographs of random bizzare objects. THIS would make a great photo, even better, a puzzle. There were no tricks or effects here. I popped the color a tad bit, but that’s it. No big secrets here. I just had to capture this. It’s become one of my favorite images.
