Your Photo Session – What to expect

1. Let's make this easy...

COFFEE TIME!!! – Let’s sit down over a cup of Joe at your favorite coffee shop, restaurant, or via Zoom & get to know each other. We will discuss your vision for your photos, we’ll brainstorm some creative direction, talk about how I can best serve your needs, and go over pricing information.

Portrait session fees (seniors included) start at $175. (most clients spend around $500 for prints and other products.) Headshots start at $175, with an average spend of $400.

2. Contracts & Planning Process

I will send you a contract, and if all looks good, you sign it, pay a deposit and lock in your session. Payments can be made right here on my website.

Then we can start the real fun—planning! This can be done with a short  Zoom session to discuss outfits and locations, props, timelines, and any other details that will bring your story to life.

3. Strike A Pose

It’s photo time! Show up a few minutes early, bring a set of comfy shoes, your favorite music, and maybe some snacks for the photographer (kidding…not kidding.) Let the fun begin!

Your photo session will last between 60 to 90 minutes. If you have chosen a package involving an additional location, the session may go longer.  Hair and make-up is always available as an add-on.

4. Edits & Delivery Process

After the shoot, I will put your photo preview in an online gallery. I’ll send you the link that will allow you to privately select the images and poses you like best. At your convenience, you’ll email me the reverence numbers of your selected images. This is also the time that you’ll place your order. The ordering process can take place in person, by phone, email, or Zoom.  Tell me the print sizes, wall art, canvas wraps, or other products you would like to order. I will request payment for your product order at this time.

Then, I work my editing magic: lighting, skin blemishes, stray hairs, SQUIRRELS, distracting leaves, the works. This can take up to 2 weeks to complete. Once completed, I’ll send your images to my lab to be printed and delivered (usually witnin a couple of days). Digital files of your selected images are available for an additional cost.

In a NUT shell

Ok, I’m done with the squirrel references…I promise.  But to boil this down to the basics…here’s the snapshot.

1. Coffee time – Discuss some creative vision, the process, and talk about pricing.

2. Contract sent/Short Zoom – You’ll sign the contract, pay for the session, and secure the date. A short Zoom session to discuss outfits, locations, props, etc.

3. Day of the shoot (The Session) Bring props, music, food, energy, and a smile.

4. Edits, Decisions and Products – Oh My!!
